Walter (Wally) Satchel

Details:

Walter was a dapper man. He taught English at an upper crust school and would take pride in his attire, often dressed in fine woollen slacks and a crisply ironed shirt. Fondly known as Wally, he was a warm and approachable chap and was revered by colleagues and students alike.

Wally can be carried either as a backpack or an over-the-shoulder satchel by a simple adjustment of the straps. It has two front pockets, a large centre gusset and a small back pocket. It is made using vegetable-tanned cowhide with solid brass fixtures. It is a little more casual than our briefcase but still at home in the boardroom.

Please note variations in leather colour occur naturally between hide to hide.

The leather we use for our bags is vegetable-tanned leather, which differs to the consistent smooth finish that you find in most commercial bags. The bag will naturally have character and slight imperfections on the leather which we embrace. The bags once made can be quite stiff until they are used and worn in where it becomes more buttery in feel. Please allow time for this to develop with this natural material.

Please note that all our goods are made-to-order unless stock already exists in our shop in Ballarat. Lead times can be found in our footer below for leather goods and footwear.
