Hermann Oak Harness Belt
Details:
Our latest belt offering is cut from beautifully firm Hermann Oak veg-tan harness leather and is built sturdy at 5.5-6mm thickness. These 36mm wide belts are designed to patina with use into a rich tan hue and are built to last a lifetime. The combination of a solid brass buckle and solid brass rivets give it both strength and a refined finish, elevating it into something that you’ll reach for every day.
The belt is punched with seven holes to allow for a generous fit range. Our stated size refers to the middle hole (not your pant size), giving you up to three inches of adjustment either side for everyday wear.
Please note due to the heft of the leather, the belts will be quite stiff to fasten through in the early stages of wear until they've had time to soften.
As a reference, these are the hole adjustments within each belt size (not your pant size- see fitting guide for more information).
Size 34" : sizes from 31" to 37" (34" being the middle hole)
Size 36": sizes from 33" to 39" (36" being the middle hole)
Size 38": sizes from 35" to 41" (38" being the middle hole)
Size 40": sizes from 37" to 43" (40" being the middle hole)
Each belt measures 10.5cm from the middle of the largest size to the tip of the belt. So the following is the overall length of the belt, NOT the largest circumference/size it will cater to.
34" - Approximate overall belt length from end of buckle to tip of leather: 105cm
36" - Approximate overall belt length from end of buckle to tip of leather: 109cm
38" - Approximate overall belt length from end of buckle to tip of leather: 114cm
40" - Approximate overall belt length from end of buckle to tip of leather: 119cm
Fitting Guide:
Please visit our blog post to help guide you through calculating your belt size, it is NOT your pants size: https://wootten.com.au/how-to-calculate-your-belt-size/
To work out your size, please make sure the measurement is taken where and how you intend to wear your belt and you are NOT referencing the size of your pants. You can either take the measurement by threading a measuring tape through your pant loops. Otherwise some people find the simplest way is to measure off an existing belt that they wear. Go to the end of the buckle and take the measurement from just on the inside of this buckle end (to account for buckle hardware thickness differences) then measure to the hole you mostly wear it at. This measurement will then correlate to the measurement from the inside of the end of our buckle to the middle hole in our belt. Thus giving you some room to move if your pants sit higher, or lower, you wear more layers, or you gain or lose some weight over time. There are seven holes in total on these belts.
Note as a guide, your belt measurement in inches is usually a few sizes larger than your pant size, so be sure to take this accurately as belts made-to-order cannot be returned for an incorrect measurement.
TIMEFRAME We try to maintain stock of these belts, so should have them ready to be posted. If needing to be made up and leather ordered, please allow up to 1-3 weeks.
