Introducing the Lo-Dubs Sneaker – where timeless style meets modern sustainability. Crafted with passion in the heart of Ballarat, these sneakers are a testament to our 50-year legacy of excellence in leather craftsmanship.
Some 30 years ago, we made athletic shoes under licence for Adidas and Sidi, catering for the likes of Gary Ablett Snr, Robert Harvey, Shane Crawford and Stephen Silvagni (just to name a few). So it made sense when considering making a repairable sneaker, that we look backwards to move forwards. We have taken inspiration from these early athletic shoe designs to produce our take on what "modern" sneakers should be.
Made from the finest locally tanned bovine leather, the Lo-Dubs Sneaker is not just a fashion statement, it’s a durable companion for your urban adventures. Its unique repairable sole design ensures that you can tread lightly on the earth, while keeping your sneakers in prime condition for years to come.
The sleek silhouette is accentuated by distinctive side stripes and contrast stitching featuring our Wootten ‘W’ motif (the dubs). The Lo-Dubs Sneaker blurs the lines between casual and formal, making it the perfect dress sneaker for any occasion.
Upper Locally tanned bovine upper with sealed mudguard and heel cup and contrasting stitching. The stripes and stitching of the "W" (the dubs) on the sides creates reinforcing. The sneaker is unlined so it can be worn in winter with a sock or summer without. The stiffner used in the heel is 3mm veg-tan leather and hand-lasted, just like we make our boots.
Eyelets: Antique brass large eyelets
Sole: Mechanically fastened insole via a Blake stitched midsole. Then choose between a cemented Vibram Gloxi-Cut sole, a cork wedge or leather wedge with Topy Sevilla soles. Or go for a sneaker made like our boots and choose the McKay Welted sole and heel with either a Starr or Dr Sole full rubber sole. The Gloxi-Cut and Cork Wedge soles are the lighest of the sole options.
Innersole The structural insole of the sneaker is 4.5mm veg tan leather stitched to the midsole. The Lo-Dubs are also finished with a removable 4mm thick innersole with mild arch support which covered in pigskin (the actual shoe making term for this is a sock... but that's just confusing).
Laces Choose between any of our flat 6mm waxed cotton laces

Fitting Guide:
Made on our KOS sneaker last in an E fitting. Sizing typically tends to be pretty true to size and similar to your dress shoe last, like our Cambridge last. Or what you wear in your sneakers (like Adidas, Puma and Tiger in AU sizing). If you are in-between sizes, we suggest sizing up. A key measurement is the length and ball in this style. Please consult the size chart for more information.
