Some 30 years ago, we made athletic shoes under licence for Adidas and Sidi, catering for the likes of Gary Ablett Snr, Robert Harvey, Shane Crawford and Stephen Silvagni (just to name a few). So it made sense when considering making a repairable sneaker, that we look backwards to move forwards. We have taken inspiration from these early athletic shoe designs to produce our take on what "modern" sneakers should be.

Using footballs that would have otherwise been sent to landfill, and combined with other locally tanned bovine leather, one pair uses a single football in its creation. Its unique repairable sole design ensures that you can tread lightly on the earth, while keeping your sneakers in prime condition for years to come.

The sleek silhouette is accentuated by distinctive side stripes and contrast stitching featuring our Wootten ‘W’ motif (the dubs). The Lo-Dubs Sneaker blurs the lines between casual and formal, making it the perfect dress sneaker for any occasion.

Upper Locally tanned bovine upper and mudguards (in the form of a football and trim) with natural veg-tan kangaroo accents and contrasting stitching. Uniquely, the Sherrin collab features the fabric reinforcing from the inside of the football as the lining of the sneakers. The stripes and stitching of the "W" (the dubs) on the sides creates further reinforcing. The stiffner used in the heel is 3mm veg-tan leather and hand-lasted, just like we make our boots.

Sole: Mechanically fastened insole via a Blake stitched midsole with a white Gloxicut wedge sole

Innersole The structural insole of the sneaker is 4.5mm veg tan leather stitched to the midsole. The Lo-Dubs are also finished with a removable 4mm thick innersole with mild arch support which is covered in leather

Laces Our handmade 6mm flat waxed cotton laces in cream

Fitting Guide:

Pictured is a size 10 AU Sneaker. Please note the placement of the logo will differ on different sizes.

Our sizing is listed in AU. US sizing tends to be a full size up numerically than your AU sizing. So if you wear a size 10 US, you're typically a 9 in AU.

Made on our KOS sneaker last in an E fitting. This is a unisex last noted in men's sizing. Sizing typically tends to be pretty true to size and similar to your dress shoe last, like our Cambridge last. Or what you wear in your sneakers (like Adidas, Puma and Tiger in AU sizing). If you are in-between sizes, we suggest sizing up. A key measurement is the length and ball in this style. Please consult the size chart for more information. The Lo-Dubs Sneakers come with a removeable innersole.

Ladies sizing tends to be two sizes bigger numerically than mens. So if you're normally a size 9 AU ladies, you're typically going to be a size 7 AU mens. Similarly, if you're a size 9 US ladies, you're typically a size 6 US mens. Refer to our Size Chart in the Unisex Gents sizing and look for the KOS last dimensions to compare.
