Derby Brogue

The Story:

Hand-brogued Derby

Classic English Derby Brogue. The Blake Rapid construction of the sole adds weight to this design, a sturdy looking English style. This style has been a staple of a well-to-do professional gentleman for more than 100 years. A classic style that will last aesthetically as well as physically. This shoe is made to stand the test of time.

Style: Derby Brogue

Upper: Polished fullgrain Bovine leather, English Calf lining

Sole: 5mm English oak tanned, Blake rapid stitched leather sole. Stacked leather heel, Vibram top piece.

Upper options: Prices vary depending on upper leather choice and sole. Also available in kangaroo, yearling and baby calf. Kangaroo leather has more texture and character and is very strong. Colours can be limited however. Yearling has similar body to bovine leather, but has a much smoother grain and a more polished finish and is the ideal choice for a more regularly worn shoe. It is more readily dyed as well. Baby calf leather is like the cashmere of leather and the choice for high gloss potential and formal occasions. Please note that while baby calf offers a much dressier and higher gloss look, it required significantly more care to maintain.
