Welcome Sgt Pepper to the Gusset Boot family. This sculpted boot is the pinnacle of craftsmanship with its fiddleback and pegged waist detail.

The main difference between this boot and the Jack Gusset boot is the notable Cuban shaped heel and the detailed pegged waist of the sole. This wholecut Chelsea Gusset boot is made from one piece of locally tanned Victorian bovine leather. This thick yet supple leather makes for a durable and comfortable boot that will mould and age with the wearer. The leather is hand finished in house.

The Sgt Pepper Cuban Gusset Boot offers the following options:

TOE SHAPE: Choose between the Stanley (tapered, chiselled toe) dress last or the Cambridge (almond toe) dress last

OUTSOLE: Leather with 1/2 topy, sculpted fiddleback waist with brass pegs and a Cuban heel (approx. 40-50mm depending on the size of boot).

UPPER COLOUR: Choose between various bovine leathers (sorry, yearling not available)

SIZING: This page is for the Men's sizing. Available from sizes 6-14 AU in two different width fittings (see size chart for width and toe shape availability). Stanley toe shape available in the narrow D fitting from size 6-13AU. Stanley toe shape only available in the wider E fitting from size 7-12.5AU. Cambridge toe shape available in the wider E fitting from size 6.5-14AU (no 13.5). Cambridge toe shape only available in the narrow D fitting from size 6, 7-12AU.

Please note if adding a 3mm padded insert, an extra 3mm of volume is lasted around the size of the boot you choose. This padding is removeable. So if choosing this option and removing the padding, it effectively gives you 3mm of extra volume through the whole boot. Or it gives you 3mm of padding when inside without changing the standard size of what you've selected.

Please note that colours pictured will vary from hide to hide. We try to give as close a representation of each colour as possible. The waxed leathers are new to our bovine range so are quite oily in the skin. They have a pull up effect (get lighter at the toe, or where stretched), which is the opposite of our crust leathers which burnish well and get darker at the toe with this effect. Please refer to our ‘Size Guide’ below for information on the fittings of these two lasts. The Cambridge is an E fitting whilst the Stanley is a more narrow D fitting. Fitting stock is available in store to test the fit before purchase.
